yeah but ricky said he thinks he has a better shot to make the NFL on the def. side of the ball.we will find out tomorrow. CU told him exactly what he wanted to hear, playing WR.Unfortunately, I think sCUm beat us on this guy....
and ricky also has said that if we would have told him we would play him at WR he would have committed to us months ago. FWIW. kids are kids and dont always make the logical choice.yeah but ricky said he thinks he has a better shot to make the NFL on the def. side of the ball.we will find out tomorrow. :yeahRt makes his choice tomorrow. I think that there are a couple things to remember.
If his choice is CU or Fresno st. it will not be the end of the world. It would be good to have him. If it is not in his heart to be a Husker, then we are better off without him and him without us.
I hope he makes us his choice. From where he comes from I think Lincoln would be exactly the place for him. My thoughts don't count though. Its his choice , and weather it is us or someone else we will still have a great future as Husker fans.
Our team is on the right track. If RT is on that train with us or not is his choice.
not to defend CU but this ONE player is probably understandable considering Hawkins was probably a big reason he committed to BSU in the first place. Not defending it, just saying its not on the same level of the other commited players they're going after.or this kid, who committed to bsu:

I was going to add a remark about him not growing up in the best of neighborhoods. Well, Boulder isn't the best of nieghborhoods for an African American to be. Those examples you cited are the proof to that.If Ricky is thick enough to fall for CU's BS then they can have him. If he's smart enough to see through it, then welcome to Nebraska/Fresno/wherever.

to rehash back to that "color" issue. Its beneath the Husker coaches to bring anything like this up but maybe the CU coaches should let RT in on another kind of "color" issue at CU/Boulder.
-CU=lowest % of Af.American students in the Big 12. (which somehow still surprises me)
--I believe one of the football players used this as an excuse to transfer last year..?
-there was a story a while back about an Af.American student who hurt in a racially motivated beating in Boulder.
-recently of course one of the football players sent racial emails to a hispanic athlete.
-Af.American CU student government leaders have also received threatening racial emails.
-did i miss anything? as if that's not enough.
All this is probably childs play compared to RT's neighborhood but it'd be interesting if this would have any affect on Ricky's view of CU if he knew of it.
BTW, not really shocked if Hagen brought out the gang-color issue. I recall an Outside the Lines several years ago that said something about Hagen partly choosing CU for that same reason. so i guess that might make him some kind of expert on it.
I agree. If it's not meant to be, so be it. I think that this class is solid with or without him. I hope he picks the Huskers because he wants to be here, but this kid still needs to qualify before he can go anywhere!People are freaking out over nothing. Let things run their course![]()
