S/RB Ricky Thenarse

His neighborhood is what kept him from being HIGHLY recruited by almost everyone in the country.
Very few coaches came to visit Ricky at his school because of the gang problems. One of the few was our very own Bill Busch and Thenarse respected Busch for the respect he showed him by coming into his neighborhood to pursue him.

I can't imagine what was going through Busch's mind. A white male clad in Nebraska gear, more than likely pulling up in his rental car in a gang neighborhood. He has more guts than I do, I will admit.

But in the end, it paid off for us thanks to recruiting efforts like that.

Well if I were one of those gangbangers and i saw some whitey pull up in a rental car clad in nebraska gear i probably wouldnt kill him because he's obviously important and somebody would indubitably notice if said whitey was shot to death. its one thing to gangbang and kill other bangers and such but its a whole new world when you kill somebody important. but then again not all gangbangers are smart so either way its a risk and kudos to Busch for havin the stones to go there anyway.

Apparently Hagan from Cu traveled that trail as well. If Rick was looking for social life. Maybe the activities in Boulder are closer to what he is used to at home.

hagen probably got some advice from his players on which symbols to flash to the gangs. hmm free prostitutes, drugs, rape, theft, perhaps your right. boulder would fit right in.

If kids want to play for pretenders that is their prerogative. i just feel bad because it seems another great athlete is slipping through our fingers. next year we will have a HUGE hole in our secondary. we will get some badass DB's next year.

 
From what I have heard (From a CU fan, who stated that this info was free..), Ricky reportedly has four borthers who are active, or have been active in the Crip gang in LA. As most all of you know, Crips wear blue. Now if Ricky were to go to NU or Fresno St., both of their main colors is red, which is the color for the Bloods gang. Now it is reported that Ricky's brothers have told him that if he were to decide on NU or FSU, then that would cause complications for them because of their gang loyalties. The whole family wants Ricky to succeed because he is the last chance for the siblings. If Ricky were to pick CU, the colors problem goes out the window. Like I said take this for what it is worth. If this is in fact true, don't be surprised to see Hagan work this for all that it is worth!!

 
Do we really have to worry that much just because he is making a visit?

IMO, with the addition of Major, Ricky can all but pound sand as far as I am concerned!! For the last time, do not commit if you are unsure or still plan on taking visits!!

i wouldnt go that far. ricky is faster than major per statistics on rivals. unless major has progressed and gotten bigger and faster this year. correct me if im wrong.

 
forget to mention that it would be ideal to keep both of these guys. i think major plays safety and maybe see a little time at CB and ricky will go CB.

 
:yeah I hope they both are Huskers when its all said and done. Cant help but feel nervous about Thenarse and the Cu visit.
