At this point the offer list is more important, as some players don’t really get evaluated until their profile has blown up. I’m fine with recruiting a guy who is also offered by LSU, Penn St, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC, and Iowa, among others.

I agree but it is kind of a game. A good friends son sent videos out to dozens of schools years ago and didn't receive much attention back. My friend decided to pay for a recruiting service and a few months later, he had 3 D1 offers. From there, several other schools offered sight unseen. He had the measurables but they were trusting the other schools opinions. He did end up playing tight end for a D1 school but didn't see the field much. He was over hyped imo but he got his education paid for.
