S Wayne Lyons

Not to argue with you Paul, but he injured that knee pretty early. I think he played only 3 or 4 games. Is he still planning to visit post season?
Everything that I have heard still indicate a yes to a postseason visit(postseason as in after his year is over). He messed up his knee at the beginning of October and believe he missed the entire month and still may be out. He's set to announce his commitment at the AA All American Game. Which by the way he will be a teammate of Tyler Moore and Nik Sade. Start chirpping now Tyler.

i thought he said he was gonna give a visit to us for sure even after he got injured.........

So far Wayne has visited both ND and UCLA, both in early September. He originally was planning his official here for the Texas game and then pushed it back to the Mizzou game. I think the injury played a small factor in canceling his visits so he could focus on becoming healthy to help his HS team out. Can't blame the kid for that.

As far as his new official visit, he has said he wants to check us out and enjoys his chit chats with Beck, his lead recruiter. With his three officials left I can easily see him coming here, a token Florida visit, and what probably could be the biggest threat in this whole recruitment, Stanford. It is a shame that Wayne couldn't get the chance to see the madness that is gameday in person, but everything that he stressed in his questionairre he should find NU caters too perfectly.

Any news on this guy recently? I've recently decided this is my new favorite recruit and I want him more than anyone. He could be the next Hagg...he could but on about 15 more pounds and be a beast!
I'd rather he was the next Gomes. I just don't see us going through the Big10 in that peso D like we play so much out of this year. We need more 240lb Eric Martins, not that "adjuster". But there's plenty of threads discussing that :)

This is one of my favorites because I think he's a "character" guy. He'd make a good addition to the unity council.
Says the man with the bouncing knockers in is avatar! :P

Not to sure but I think his sister goes to Florida. Don't think that's a really big part of his recruitment, but hearing how your sister is enjoying college life at that school can't be a bad thing for Florida.

It's hard to say but I think his recruitment comes down to us, Stanford, and Notre Dame.

I wouldn't go that far - if you take off those Husker blinders we missed on about 40-50% of that questionaire.

Final 3 visits Stanford 11/25 Michigan 12/3 Nebraska 12/10

Is it good that NU is his final official?
Heck ya it is. He'll go to Standford, love the academics, love Harbaugh. Then he'll go up and freeze his a$$ off in Michigan where RichRod will tell him what a piece of s!$^ Harbaugh is and put doubts in his mind. By the time his NU visit comes around the following week, Nebraska will feel like the tropics, and Bo will seem like a saint.

If we get Lyons, I think we have the best recruiting class for QB, DB, and O Line in the country... wow
Which is totally awesome, but let's just hope we can swing it next year to best RB, WR, DL and LB classes in the country. Outside of RB this year, we're just so-so at best in the others. Of course, there is time...

I think we have a good shot at Wayne, him and beck are forming a good relationship.
Whats the chances that he comes to NU? He would be a huge pick up.
Getting the last visit is a plus, but I still think its a Stanford/Florida battle with Nebraska gaining.

I really hope we get him. He would be a great addition. Im surprised that he would look at Florida, especially since academics his a high priority on his list. Im gonna keep my hopes up and stay positive that he will be a husker.
