San Diego Personal Foul

Analysts and fans are obviously making a big deal about the Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty that Florence got when he head-butted one of the Patriot players and gave New England a first down.

Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but didn't that play occur following a turnover, after the play was finished and had changed posession? If so...why wouldn't it have remained San Diego ball and just move them back???

NEVERMIND....I just read that the play occurred after a 3rd & 13 where the Patriots recovered the ball on Brady's Fumble. I thought it was on 4th down.

Actually the penalty kept the drive alive. Brady was sacked on third down. Then Florence got flagged for the unnecesary and hilarious-what-the-hell-are-you-thinking roughing penalty.
