That's pretty neat, I didn't realize Nebraska was so late in the game. It seemed fairly early to me, actually -- I remember guys like Gabbert committing in the summer to kick things off. Of course, the groundwork has been long in the laying.

Nebraska scored a big victory in landing Tristan Gebbia, a Calabassas (Calif.) four-star who claimed offers from Alabama, Ole Miss and Washington, among others. The draw of playing in Mike Riley's pro-style offense was a factor when combined with Nebraska's lack of pro-style passers on the roster. (5)

The recruiting timeline now is so sped up compared to 5 years ago, let alone 10 years ago with Gabbert.

The recruiting timeline now is so sped up compared to 5 years ago, let alone 10 years ago with Gabbert.

Yet according to the NCAA, nothing has changed.....
