Yeah seriously. Any good will towards this program has been tapped. It's time to produce, and if they do, great. But it's myopic to assume anything will be different.

Not really... you know the old saying. Once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, three times is a trend. So what is 6? A continuation of that trend. That's not to say there HAS to be 4 losses. There could very well be a season of 1 loss or 6 losses. But if I were a betting man making a prediction, I would predict 4 losses.

Every team has injuries, its a fact of football. When I look at the schedule, I'm unsure about Miami. I get that every team needs to be able to deal with injuries, but we seem to have injuries occur in the worst positions at the worst times. I can't think of another team that has had the same bad luck we've seemed to have the past few years.

Yes, every team has injuries. Not every team has to deal with what we did a year ago. And those that did, well, they werent very good either (Florida, Georgia, and Mizzou2012 immediately come to mind).

Can you honestly name a team that had worse injuries than us last year? Georgia lost ONE player, we lost almost our entire offense.

They appear worse because we all focus on Nebraska more than any other team, for starters. And they may hit Nebraska harder because there appears to be a talent depth issue combined with an absence of getting the next man ready. This has been very glaring at the QB position.

The fact we finished 9-4 with an SEC bowl win is why Im so excited for this year. Not hecause it was a huge accomplishement but because we did it with a bare cupboard on offense and a first year defense. No reason to think they wont be a completely better team this year.

Yes we focus on Nebraska more than any other team but I bet as a whole our fanbase follows the rest of the country alot closer than most other fanbases. The shallow QB roster wasnt all the staffs fault either. A 4yr starter goes down so they prepare for the next year with the next guy and split time with the Senior walk on. How is that not "getting the next man ready"?

A shallow college football roster isn't the coaches fault,who's charged to recruit and fill his roster. Interesting.

They only got the next man ready with Armstrong because there was no other choice. In 2011 and 2012, Taylor took nearly every snap. In the past, Nebraska was able to get reps for more than just the starter. Problems happen when that doesn't occur. Look at the 2002 season as an example, Solich let Crouch build stats for his Heisman run in 01, and Lord was pretty green when he started, that was systemic throughout other positions on that squad, as they had abnormal "injury bug" year that year too.

Anyway, my rambling point is there needs to be a more proactive approach to getting guys time. Injuries happen. Always. Putting inexperienced guys in and then saying that's why we lost is pretty flimsy. Sure it's not ideal, but it's a "next man up" sport.

To be fair, Georgia lost a couple talented WR's, and the backup RB, and Gurley was out a few games. I think Georgia could be comparable, but they had, as we did, a very disappointing season BECAUSE of it.

How about the freakin' loss of the starting QB as being one of (if not) THE most significant injury for any team. How many lost their starting QB's? We had a redshirt freshmen, who went 7-1 as starter, take his place.

Georgia is the only team I can think of that lost their starting QB. I am sure there's more but you can't just brush that off as "teams have injuries..." Heck, the Patriots missed out on the playoffs in 2008 when Tom Brady was out for the year.

hail mary, refs against MSU, OSU backup QB, d. robinson injury, heisman QB Murray and entire receiving corp injured...
