just odd that bo reacted that way to that call, but he was pretty mild at psu when we saw probably the worst call in a decade against burtch that negated a td.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I could see Bo having an epic meltdown with the Penn State call, but the pass interference call actually was pass interference, just not a penalty that would make a difference. I guess it has more to do with what kind of day Bo is having, rather than any external stimuli.

...which brings me to a question: If there is no pass interference on an uncatchable ball, then why couldn't the cornerbacks and safeties unload on the receivers when the quarterback throws the ball away? Mind you, not enough to draw an unnecessary roughness call, but just something to put some wear and tear on them.

According to the assumption by officials that all athletes are superhuman...is there truly such a thing as an uncatchable ball provided it leaves the QB's hand at least 2" off the ground and travels at least past the end of his cleats?

There wasn't a really good camera angle but it appeared to be about five feet over the receivers head even as he was jumping.

So Pelini was definitely in the wrong. He can't expect the refs to do full body cavity searches. As far as the ref knew, it was a$$-rocket-enabled catchable.
