Yeah, they hired Bryan Harsin. The article lists the candidates they interviewed. The OP wasn't real clear about it.Didn't they already hire a coach?
they might end up really missing chip. i thought they would be able to keep it going without him pretty easily, but i might have been wrong. The Oregon offense looked very vulnerable in the second half of the season.
Not really much different than any other year. Their vulnerability is a tough 'smash mouth' kind of defense. The kind that is not played much in the PAC12, but is the staple in the B1G. I don't think that's a long term manageable system for this conference. The Oregon offense looked very vulnerable in the second half of the season.
Physicality beats finesse 90% of the time.I think their Hypsman QB was hurt before the Stanford game. Knee injury, but continued to play. could have had some affect on the situation. But Stanford has been a problem for them, QB good or not.
what about theatricality and deception?Physicality beats finesse 90% of the time.
Hard to run the read option when your QB can't run.I think their Hypsman QB was hurt before the Stanford game. Knee injury, but continued to play. could have had some affect on the situation. But Stanford has been a problem for them, QB good or not.
PAC teams play very pro-style right now, B1G defenses tend to try to 'ugly' up a game. Part of the 'slow' thing comes from that too, as they are trying to impose the speed they want on the opponent.Actually, I thought this season, the PAC played more of a smash mouth than the BIG..Paradigms change..Most still think we are stodgy and slow
Must of been an S&C problem if it was his knee. better training would of taking care of that!I think their Hypsman QB was hurt before the Stanford game. Knee injury, but continued to play. could have had some affect on the situation. But Stanford has been a problem for them, QB good or not.
