If he didn't bow out gracefully, he wouldn't be there tonight. Just goes to show he meant what he said that him and his wife loved Lincoln and were/are comfortable here. Even though it wasn't a fit professionally, I think MR might become a Nebraska fan for life as awkward as it may seem right now.

The best coaches are able to get the most out of their players.  Riley was too nice to demand excellence from his players.

EDIT:  In fact, I heard a stat where Riley was actually a negative coaching influence on Nebraska.

You should see it on Twitter it’s a sh!* show, Tennessee fans saying they’ll cancel season tickets if they hire Doeren(so?) who to my understanding is pretty solid, probably better than Schiano. Sheesh

I was on Volnation and there was already a "fire Doeren" thread.  I went to an NC State board to see what they thought of Doeren, and there was a "Fire Doeren" thread.  Wonder if he's the first one to have an active "fire" thread on two different teams message boards.
