Scott Frost's Coaching Resume....

CHOPSKER

Three-Star Recruit
(taken from Wikipedia)

After playing six seasons in the NFL, in 2002 Frost accepted an offer by his alma mater to be a graduate assistant coach preparing the Cornhuskers defense for the Independence Bowl. He later returned to the NFL for a tryout with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2006, he accepted an offer by his alma mater's rival, Kansas State, to fill the same position. In 2007, he joined the University of Northern Iowa coaching staff as the linebackers coach, later being promoted to Co-Defensive Coordinator.

On January 26, 2009, Frost was hired as the wide receivers coach for the University of Oregon.[1]

IMO -- Frost would be a great addition to the Husker coaching staff.

Pelini had the chance to hire Frost when he took the job, he didn't it then why would he hire him now (1.5 years later)?

Just because somebody is a coach and they played for NU does not mean they should be a coach at NU. IMO

Why is nobody calling for Mike Grant to get a job?

It's not "just because".....

Scott Frost has the stink of winning on him.

* National Championship 1997 --

*6 years in the NFL -

*promoted coordinator position at UNI --

* Oregon is winning with him as coach (ranked #10) - -

I was merely throwing this out there in the face of all the calls for Turner Gill to take a demotion to become Nebraska's O.C. -- Scott Frost would be a very SANE alternative.

He should defiantly be our get back coach... did u see him control Oregeon's RB Blount after he threw that punch... what a stud (frost)

Some people are obsessed with the idea that former NU players would be good coaches here.

I'm not saying Frost wouldn't work but I don't think he would be better than any number of other coaches that didn't play at NU.

I think there is something to be said about understanding tradition and heart but not enough to fully base the decision on it.

Anyone else believe we should hire Scott Frost as a receivers coach or as QB coach?

It honestly can't get much worse at our receivers coaching this year. Ted Gilmore should be put on the next bus out of Lincoln.
