Subjective statement: If Tom Osborne's fumble-rooskie hadn't worked in the 1984 Orange Bowl against Miami, he would have had his butt hung from a flagpole. So many writers get their knickers in a twist when it comes to coaches having the guts to take risks before the fourth quarter of a game. Why is this such an enduring and prevalent trend amongst a considerable portion of the college football cognoscenti?

Objective support: ESPN's Mark Schlabach and other college football writers openly fretted about Mark Richt's decision to go for it on fourth-and-one from his own 29 in the first half. Schlabach went so far as to say that the game would have been over if Georgia failed to make the first down.

Athletic Directors – The Bad Eggs

Third in a Four Part Series Exploring the Role of Athletic Directors in Major College Sports

Steve Pederson of Pittsburgh should be on this list. Actually, there’s nothing wrong with Pederson’s tenure at Pittsburgh, but shame on the University of Pittsburgh for hiring the man who axed Frank Solich and conducted himself with an utter lack of dignity at Nebraska. Yes, we’re still tracking you and remembering you, Mr. Pederson. You’ll never be able to escape that disgrace in Lincoln.

Thats awesome. Atleast it appears the media hasnt forgotten about his crimes agianst humanity that happened here. I still have questions in the back of my mind and wonder if Pedersons sole goal was to actually bring Huskernation to its knees. Nothing he did here during his tenure had a positive affect on the program or state. You would think if he was just an imbisule even then he could have accidently done something right.

Yep, those 2 men and situations are exactly the same. The similarities are... well, I'm sure there's at least one or two.

Ah, come on. Don't muck up a perfectly good thread that engages in more well-deserved trashing of the f**kwit Pederson with silly political statements.

What I'll never understand about Pederson is how he could have been from Nebraska. And still get every single thing he ever did so totally wrong about the state.
