Sea of Red

Not to complain, but we are known as the sea of red. I saw tons of red at the game yesterda, so why in the hell is our band wearing white

We have white jackets and red pants for two reasons. First, it's just a tradition. For most of the band's existence the pants have been red and the jacket has been white. Second, a red jacket on white pants would just look stupid. It's all about color coordination and that scheme is just dumb. Also, each uniform costs about $500 or so for the band to buy so we can't just switch all willy nilly like the football team could. But, hey, if you wanna pony up the money to pay for about 300 uniforms, be my guest.

Seriously though. I have never worn anything other than red to a Husker game.

At each gate have red spray paint stations that you have to pass through. Kinda like a car wash.

The band always wears white. White uniforms with red and gold sashes. It's a clean look.
