Season Tickets

It's not donations, it's the highest bidder.

Cornhuskers season ticket sales are based on numerous criteria:

1. Availability of Nebraska Cornhuskers season tickets.

2. Annual Seat Contributions to the Nebraska Athletic Department through the Husker Award Club, Touchdown Club, Husker Beef Club, Cattle Club, Big Red Award Club, Director's Club and Platinum Club .

3. University of Nebraska Priority Points.
By far one of the best booster clubs. This was the club that back in the day put the food (beef too) on the training table for the players back when no one (or very few) had meal plans or nutritionist for their football players. Its one of the ways my family has contributed to the program for years.

I spoke to a woman in the ticket office today and got the following information:

  • The tickets are not yet allotted for away games
  • There is not a limit to the number of tickets you can ask for
  • Tickets are not reserved by first come first serve - they are reserved by priority points (donations)
  • If you ask for the tickets, you will be contacted when the become available

Gotta ask around and find a big donor to get me to the front of the line...
I don't think you'll have a lot of trouble. A good chunk of the people who would drive to away games won't fly to the new sites now that they can see every game on TV. I would think that Michigan and Wisconsin would be the harder games as they either have a NU connection (Wisconsin) or are a historical powerhouse (MU).

I'll be at the MU having already received conformation from a friend who's an MU alumni and works with the Athletic Department. I haven't decided if I'm going to Wisconsin yet but my dad knows Barry Alvarez from his Lexington days.

I'm going to Wisconsin for sure and might hit up Michigan as well. I've been to both Madison (many times) and Ann Arbor once. Madison is an absolute blast, not to mention a very neat setting for a school.

Ann Arbor is fun as well. Went for a Kansas bball game back in January. We had a rather epic Saturday.

I'd put a plug in for Minnesota as well. Minneapolis is a great city and a lot of fun.
