Sadly, this rings true:

Wouldn't get your hopes up. You played your last game against Texas on October 16th and lost. You're just gonna have to deal with leaving this conference with that bad taste because Texas will not be making it to the conference championship this year. We're just not a good team. If not for the fact that it seems to be a law of nature that Texas beats Nebraska, we'd be riding a four loss streak right now.
