I would go and say that its a sign that a once nationally respected and feared program is going into mediocrity

Haven't we been there for quite some time? If one is really honest with themselves, they will admit that we were in the mediocre division of the Big 12. We are currently in the mediocre division of the B1G. We haven't won a conference championship in a long time. We haven't played for a conference championship since 2012 where it appeared we didn't even deserve to be on the same field after a 31-70 drubbing.

The only time in the last decade or so we instilled just a little bit of fear into opposing teams was the 09' defense and the first half of 10'. Other than that, we've been incredibly mediocre for quite some time.

Apathy.

Apathy set in after the scoreboard read 42-16 in favor of PURDUE today.

I'll watch as I always do, but I won't get excited for much. The only thing I can do tonight to help my mood out is contribute to the little kiddos in the neighbor hood who look forward to visiting the house and getting a piece of candy. My wife is dressed up, the dog is/was wearing a football jersey. I'm sitting here in sweats. Waiting for the Stanford game so I can just have my night filled with ENVY as Stanford rolls Wazzou to the tune of 350+ rushing yards and 42+ points.

I don't like Stanford but I like watching physical football. Something NU doesn't play. Something Oregon doesn't play. 2015 will be remembered as the "college football gods hate me" year.
