I know it's not the same level of play but I haven't felt this bad since 2001 Colorado. We've hit rock bottom and I just don't know if Callahan can pull is back up. He ended the bowl streak, he ended the streak over Kansas, he threatened the ref, he called the opponents "f'ing hillbillies." I really did like him but now I am questioning his character and capability. Can we really afford another year of mediocrity? No. Will we have one? Probably. He will be here at least one more year before anything happens to him or Pederson. If next year is anything less than 10 wins however, I will gladly watch Callahan depart. I know we will soon rise back into the perennial power we have become accustomed to. But probably not with Callahan.
