Should we fire Satterfield??

Again, Trev this program for several reasons, and one of them being this football program was in trouble going forward.  We don't have the athletes other teams have and we don't have the right coach yet.  We have good pieces right now, but not enough of the right pieces yet.  I know its year 2 of Rhule, but not seeing the massive improvement in the program yet.  We have not played a ruthless schedule at this point and are 5-3.  Signs are there that this is not going to work.  The Big 10 is not that conference this season and we already have 3 losses.  Let me say that again, this conference is not that good and we have 3 losses against it.  Can we win one more, yes, but does that mean we are getting better.........I don't really know yet!

I am not that fan that thinks we fire everyone, but we don't have the right guy yet.  We watch other programs fire and rehire and win, but we find reasons why we can't win.  If we have to find reasons why we are losing and not winning, then we don't have the right people leading this program.  I thought Rhule was going to be that guy, but just not seeing it on the field and don't know if we will see it on the field.  We don't seem to ever get the right fit for this state or program.  Rhule hasn't done enough at his previous stops to warrant a great amount of trust from me.  Temple is Temple and Baylor is Baylor.  Each program did improve, but didn't blow everyone away. he also was the benefit of downs years my elite programs in those conferences.  Look it up and you will see in some regards that his reputation is inflated on years where Texas, OU and others were not having great seasons or at least dominant seasons.

I think we need to see some changes from the staff.  I also am not a huge believer in having a QB who is rather one dimensional.  If we can't get better line play, that's a recipe for disaster.  Big fan of dual threat QB's in college.  Even the NFL is going more in that direction.  We are still 10 years behind the trend, but our old football that made this program what it is and once was, could and should be ran right now.  Not many QB's these days are just running QB's, most can pass some.

The best coaches can adjust to the game on the field and to the personnel they have.  Coaches have to have players, the right pieces.  I’d say White for the most part does what he can with his pieces.  Satterfield, like Frost, can’t adjust and doesn’t use his pieces effectively. But his pieces except for Raiola aren’t that good.  So we are in this weird stage.  I predicted 7-5 so I guess I’d say I’m on track still.  UCLA is a must win.

Rhule could show a lot of stones by firing Foley.  ST is awful and really kills us.  It’s unacceptable and an easy move.  Foley has shown no improvement with ST. Just be done with this already.

Nebraska outscored Ohio State 11-7 in the second half.
Means what?  We still don't have an offense?  Ohio St is over rated?  Our defense played good enough for us to win?  Ohio St outscored us 14-6 in the first half.............WE can't play or put together 4 quarters of football yet? We are still that team that can't win close games because our team, state and program pucker up and lay down?

We clearly adjusted during halftime and scored more points. We outscored them. This is an undeniable truth.

its pretty baffling how we are so inept at kick off returns.  At this point, they should just put IGC to fair catch every time.  I would rather have us just start at the 25 as opposed to the 2 train wreck plays we've seen to the start the game in back 2 back games.

Rhule does not strike me as a guy to make a move midseason- i would expect the day after iowa or after the bowl game, assuming we dont piss down our leg again the last 4 games

I was not a fan of the Satterfield hire, but I was willing to give him a chance to prove me wrong. Instead, all he has done is re-confirm my belief that he sucks.

I agree that Rhule will probably wait until after the season; I'm sure he's aware that Raiola will leave if Satterfield stays. That said, if we somehow find a way to lose to UCLA next week due to Satt's ineptitude, I wouldn't be surprised to see him let go on Sunday.

Because Raiola audibled to the second one.
Did the coaches say he did? Also, it would be stupid to give him that option based on how they had been stuffed all game long.
