Of all the wrong things in the first post I'll just point out two:
Bo Pelini teams are not built for defensive speed. Holy crap, did you watch the team the past two seasons? If there is one glaring deficiency in the Husker D that opponents can't wait to exploit, it's how easy it is to beat our defense to the corner.
And given how slow our defense is we would likely have gotten our asses handed to us by Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and West Virginia, possibly Texas and Baylor. The only gimme in the Big 12 would have been Kansas.
The move to the Big 10 made plenty of sense for the University as a whole, but strictly in football terms the Big 12 was stronger top to bottom than the Big 10 this season.
