Sick of Media

I'm so sick of the media roller coaster of "we play better on road" "can't play at home" "this is an impossible road game" "AM is sooo good" blah blah blah blah blah fricking blah.

Texas AM changed QB and won a few games against some teams with POOR pass defense. This kid QB Tannehill has NEVER seen a secondary like he will go up against Sat night. If I've learned one thing it's you better like your chances with a Pelini coached team in November with something on the line. The opposing QB graveyard population is about to increase by one.

If I were an A&M fan I'd be feeling really, really uncomfortable with the Big Red coming to town. Likewise if you're a A&M coach how can you possible prepared for everything NU can throw at you on offense? TMart, Helu Jr, Burkehead, wideopen passing attack, smash mouth run game. We've shown it all this year and I'd be scared to death if I were an opposing coach trying to guess what I'll face on Sat night. Have a some faith, let the bombs blow and the dominoes fall Sat night. GBR!!!

I like your enthusiasm and I agree with a lot of what you say, mainly the part about being sick of the media crap. But, until this team shows some consistency on a week to week basis, it's just hard to jump on with both feet. If the offense comes out and executes like we've seen before, in both the pass and run games, we should be fine. We pretty much know what we are going to get with the D, they will not allow much in the passing game, but might give up some rush yards, but probably not enough of both for A&M to go crazy on the scoreboard.

As with most of our games, it will probably be a race to 24 or so.

The media is the media and it's futile to exclaim media bias and or favoritism, because we got a LOT of it earlier in the season, especially after big wins against Washington, KSU, and Missouri. Heck, it seemed like one in every two articles on the ESPN Big 12 blog was about Nebraska in one way or another. Furthermore, they're just trying to get readers. I'm sure this is common knowledge, because all fans bases at one point or another think ESPN hates them.

That said, the coverage of A&M is becoming rather annoying. They've played competitively against good teams, yes, but they also haven't faced a secondary like Nebraska's. Even Texas' secondary hasn't been great this year, and many people said theirs was supposed to be better.

All in all, I'm confident in this game and I think A&M is in for a rude awakening. Big 12 game on the road with a division title on the line seems like plenty of motivation, especially against a coach many people have given Callahan like comparisons. That's never good.

I don't know why, but I have a great feeling about this game. Its like everything is gonna fall into place. The 12th Man gives me goosebumps, and somehow, Nebraska does better in a hostile crowd. This is Nebraska's last away game of the regular season in the Big XII. I honestly saw a sports talk show where they said Nebraska just has to win 1 of the last 2 games, and that they could take it easy this week and man up against Colorado. I have a better idea. Win both, and head into the Big XII Championship the right way. If we win the next two we go 11-1. Leaps and bounds from just a few years ago. 12-1 if we win the Championship and in a major bowl. Accept nothing less!

while you might make a few good points, i feel like we have plenty of reasons to think we will win.

Tannehill is a great QB. He is not a receiver turned QB. He was a QB turned receiver. So, throughout the last 3 years he has been learning how to play in the offense as a receiver and a qb. That is a good bit of knowledge to own as a starting QB. And, he was our leading receiver last season. The kid is a gifted athlete all around. So, bring on you really really good secondary. I am confident he will have a good day against them.

You have only played one other offense that is our caliber. Okie light had no trouble putting up points on your vaunted black shirts. The balanced offense is your D's Achilles hill. We bring a balance to the game.

If Tmart is fully healthy, we will have trouble stopping him. He is special. If he is not fully healthy, we will curb stomp him. Look what happened to RGIII in the second half last week. And RGIII is every bit of electric as Tmart, in spite of the fact that he plays for Baylor. Our D is up to the task of stopping your O. Try to smash mouth us. I dare you to.

This game hinges on two things for both teams. Which ever team stops the others rushing game and which team has a better day with the special teams will win this game.

Also, this will be the most hostile environment your team will face all season. This will be on a different level of loud.

I am very comfortable with this match up. I feel like these teams match up very well and it should be close to the end. Right now, I think Nebraska is the better team. But, I think TAMU is playing better ball currently. Who knows which way the ball bounces tomorrow.

It is gonna be fun.

First, you won't curb stomp Martinez, he's better than RG III IMO.

Second, I disagree that your stadium will be the most hostile we've played in this season. Washington is the loudest stadium in college football. You see what Martinez did to them in their stadium. It was so loud the camera's wouldn't stop shaking..........aTm will be loud, but not that loud. Martinez thrives in those environments and he's said it before.

Thirdly, we made defensive mistakes against OSU, it was earlier in the season. Our defense is starting to gel at just the right time and your young QB is screwed. The Blackshirts are gonna sack him at least 4 times along with 2 INT's.

I think it is going to be a heck of a game. May the best team win. I think it is about a tossup. We have some advantages, they have some advantages. Win or lose, this will probably be the best year Nebraska football has had for quite sometime.

My first post, hope I didn't upset anyone. I have been reading for a long time though.

Ok Pastor J. Jones. :LOLtartar :laughpound :bonesflag:

What the heck... I thought A&M had a stiff run defense. RG and JF of Baylor had TD runs of 71 and 69 yards. JF had three scores running it and 169 total yards. A&M trailed 30-14 at one point. I don't exactly think that would be a good bet for the Aggies should they repeat that same situation against Nebraska. The Huskers wouldn't allow a rally from over two scores down. Bank on that. And for all the bluster, Ryan Tannehill throws for under 300 and one score. Interesting stats.

I LOVE how amped up they seem to be about this game. I'm not very worried at all. Maybe I should be, I dunno. But as has been said several times, he really hasn't played a defense worth a crap. If they're smart they will try to run it a lot. They won't score a lot that way either, but it will improve their chances I think.

The only good passing defense they played all year was Arkansas, and they scored 17 points in that game. (and Arkansas isn't as good at it as Nebraska)
