Just watched his Rivals film. Pretty impressive. Like some others here, I agree that he'll add some good weight in his first couple of years at NU, which will make him a bigger threat at the college level. Here are my other quick impressions from his film.

Positives:

- Displays good pursuit. Seems to have a knack for getting to the ball carrier.

- Hard hitter. Looks like he will fit nicely in Bo's style of defense.

- Drives through blocks well. On one play he blows up a blocker and takes down the RB. Again, this is indicative of his pursuit and toughness.

Negatives:

- A bit on the slow side in the open field. There are only a couple of instances on his film, but he doesn't seem to close the gap very quickly when chasing the ball carrier.

Again, it's hard to tell from this very limited film, but that's my layman's analysis.

Edit: After looking at his film again, I take back my concern about his open field speed. The film doesn't show much of that, but he definitely has closing speed from 7-10 yards out. I would like to see some film of him in coverage though. LBs in Bo's system need to be able to drop back in coverage too.

Nebraska won't be able to recruit Texas because they won't play Texas teams.

It would icing on the cake if David could sway Charles jackson our way. Two of the best cornerbacks out of Texas would be sweet. :koolaid2:
