Asking as I have no idea what the recruiting calendar looks like...

Per the NCAA, you can't "officially offer" (in writing) until August 1st of their senior year.  Anything before that has to just be a verbal offer.

To be fair,  the team he played should be 6 man.   They are not good at all and haven't been since 2017.
