Signing Day Moving Earlier in December - Before Transfer Portal Opens; And Maybe June?

So they're effectively getting rid of the entire concept of signing day? Because if you move it to June, while also limiting in person contact until Aug 1 of their junior year, they've crammed recruiting into an extremely tight window. It'll be even more transfer portal palooza.

They keep moving everything up.  So they might move it farther.

But I don't think this changes a whole lot of recruit's timelines.  A ton of them are committed by the summer before their senior year.  It will speed up a few of them.  But it will also be a ton better for coaches who don't have to recruit nearly as many kids through the season.

The only hiccup would be coaches leaving/getting fired.  But I'm sure there will be an out in that case, either formally or informally.

 
I’m all for a liberal arts education. It’s great that our football players will now have singing as part of it.
