“The way I feel, I think I could come back earlier than expected,” he said. “We’re just putting my body through different things to see how it feels. Right now I have to stay warm so it doesn’t get stiff.
“Still, I feel day to day. But we’re shooting for mid- to late-January.”

True that more players need to step up but we sorely need a big guyWill be interesting to see how quickly he gets up to speed. We play at Wisconsin three weeks from today. Although we need a LOT of players to be playing a lot better before Smith will make much of a difference in that game.
