You just confirmed for me that when I think of the Huskers, my brain is stuck in 2001.

I'll admit I'm guilty of this too sometimes. I still love those 2001 uniforms though. Best look the Huskers have ever had!

It always surprises me how much smaller shoulder pads have become.

You know, that's a really good observation, and one I hadn't taken notice of over the past 10 years. Everyone talks about how the jerseys are getting tighter, but to your point the construction and materials they use nowadays on the pads to keep their size down is pretty remarkable.

Look at some linemen. They look like they went and got their shoulder pads out of the local grade school equipment locker.

Warren Sapp apparently is not a fan of Adidas, and mutilated the pair they sent him:

Maybe he was just mad that they forgot to send a hooker to deliver the cleats.

Or he assumed they would have cocaine hidden in them.
