So it sounds like...

I missed the game. So I have a couple ??s

Does Zaire Anderson have the LaVonte David potential? Does the LB core have the talent to overcome any weaknesses we have on the front DL? I think VV will be good on the inside, just wondering about our Ends - and speed on the outside.

Do I take it for granted that Bell and Turner put in their normal good performances?

Thanks

What are your thoughts on Starkebaum at LB? He got burned once with the FB coming out of the back field on a pass play, got a talking to by Bo and from then on played pretty dang well. Is this just a flash in the pan at a Spring Game or is he someone that can contribute next year?

I think Zaire may be the second coming of Lavonte...but that's my opinion....he had an excellent spring game. He looked very physical, quick and got off blocks very well.

zaire played with torn ligaments and was still able to play better than our other lb's. i do not think anyone should be surprised that he looked good. i will say it will be hard for him to match david's production and overall effect on the defense. he was special.

When you get burned and make no plays when the majority of the first team offense is in, and then you make all kinds of plays when the second a many third teamers are in the game, that is the biggest indicator of "flash in the pan." At LB, not taking into account positions, he is about 10th or 11th on the depth chart. I wouldn't expect to see him unless he is out covering Bondi's (at minimum) 10th kickoff of the game.
