So much for "Once you quit Mac, you never go back"

So I was at an Apple Store, taking my Mom so she can replace her Ipad. I start loking around and an Mac Mini catches my eye. I wait to talk to a rep while my Mom is being waited on, and am checking out features. I'm wanting to start streaming online and find out Apple works great with that. Needless to say, I made the purchase. My last Mac was a Performa in 1996. My younger brother who is a die hard Mac user seems overjoyed and said smart purchase.

I've been running on Mac machines since around 2012. While there's plenty that frustrates me, I can't imagine getting outside the ecosystem and the hardware quality I've come to rely on for well over a decade now.

Being forced into Apple's ecosystem with the poor support for anything outside of it is too frustrating for me. They have great hardware and software, but it's expensive and interoperability is terrible.

I've been using a Mac at work for a long time. I can't imagine going back.

However, the biggest frustration I have is that all of our IT people seem to only know how to work on PCs. So....they get frustrated when I say I have a Mac.

What on earth sort of work do you do that your company is letting you use a personal computer for work?
