From another thread by Slugger Joe:
My son and I went to the Nebraska-Kansas State football game. By most standards, it was not a pretty game. But here's another take. I witnessed a first-year QB break a 33-year-old passing record to become the most prolific passer in NU history. I saw him throw two touchdown passes to an 18-year-old receiver - the most prolific frosh receiver in memory. I saw an 18-year-old special teamer take four points off KSU's scoreboard in blocked kicks. I saw an 18-year-old QB walk on the field for the first time and drive our team into field goal position so an 18-year-old could make the game-winning kick to send us to a bowl game for the 40th time in 41 years.
It has been said that sports doesn't build character, it reveals it. I think our young and inexperienced team has shown a lot of character this year. I'm afraid a lot of our "fans" have not.
