So we are past VT, where do you feel the Huskers will finish now?

If they finish first in the North, how do they stand in the Big XII Championship?

If the Huskers finish with 9 or more wins this season, I'll be very impressed. I see losses ahead vs. Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Baylor.
I could see a loss with Oklahoma...maybe one other with Missouri or Kansas, but not both. But Baylor? No friggin' way, man!

I was thinking 8 or 9 wins before VT. Now it looks like 10 wins is in reach. This team looks leaps and bounds better than last year at this point. Lee is a good QB, I still think he was dinged up in the second half, of the VT game, or we would be 3-0.

GBR!!!

We win 9 games again, including bowl. The VT game measured alot about are team in the redzone against a top team and we have three more losable games.............By the way I am not over the VT loss yet.

Im sorry, but i just dont see us losing in Columbia or Lawerence, this year.

The Blacksburg loss hurt, but as Bo said the team has moved on and has learned from it, the players took the loss put it behind them and realized that they need to play with more passion, intensity, and consistency.

I think that a team that learns quickly from their mistakes, takes a loss and uses it as motivation to push harder, and have consistency in their game. They truly overcome the obstacle of an away game. Bo said that this week, he promises that our players are going to play with more passion, more consistency, and intensity than we have seen so far this season. I believe if we see that, the Huskers will take that momentum with them to Columbia and overcome the crowd and come out with a win over the Tigers.

We Texas Tech after that @ home, which quite frankly, i see a win there for us, especially if we come back from Columbia with a win.

After that its, ISU. Once again another win at home.

Then we travel to Baylor, which may start out a little rough, but in the end i think we take control of the game in the 2nd half and come out with a win. I mean they loss to UConn, so that says they aren't as good as we thought.

After that its Oklahoma, @ home. Which is good because we have the home advantage. Now i think that Oklahoma will want to come out and dominate off the bat to keep the crowd quiet and control the offense. But this game has a good chance of becoming an upset. But its a bit too early right now to predict this game, seeing that Bradford is unknown, and we dont know how they will handle teams like Miami, Texas, and Kansas before they play us. But one thing is for certain right now, this should be a good game.

Then we play Kansas, which they havent really been tested so far this year, i think they will have somewhat of a test against Southern Miss, but after that their only real hard test will be Oklahoma on Oct 24th. But as of right now, im calling the odds to be in our favor, especially if we have wins in Mizzou and Baylor.

And then the rest of the season, well KSU and Colorado, 2 more wins.

We win the Big 12 North, we take on Texas in Big 12 Championship. Now, sigh, i don't really know what to say about this game. In my mind, I think will we lose. But in my gut, somethng tells me that if we finish 10 - 2 or even 11 - 1, we might have a shot to overtake Texas in the Big 12 Championship game. I don't have the facts to back up this gut feeling, i let this ride out.

A little defense goes a long way. 10-2, sweeping the North, losses to VT (obviously) and OU.
&%$K that noise, I'm not ready to surrender anything to Oklahoma. After last years 28-62 loss, payback is due.

If I'm Bo Pelini, I'm putting up flyers on every single players locker saying 28-62 & underneath a picture of the Oklahoma players celebrating their victory, preferrably 1 with Bradford in it with a big goofy smile on his face raising his arms in victory

In Baylor's defense (choke! choke!) You can't say that UCONN is the UCONN of old. They have gotten better, as has most of the lower tier teams in the NCAA. Baylor has gotten better too, but I don't think they have the mustard to beat us...we will wear them out by the 4th Qtr. The biggest obstacle we have is to not beat ourselves with stupidity and penalties. I am hoping that the coaching staff emphasized what those penalties cost us against VT to the players. We have got to stop doing stupid crap.

I realy think that if they get their Krap together and win all the way to the Big 12 Championship game, they could actually win it. Then again, they could get there and play OU and totally choke just because it's OU. I am pulling for option 1.

Baylor is VT light. They don't have the same RBs VT has, the same OL or DL VT has, or the same WRs that VT has. The only thing they have that is comparable to VT is Griffin/Taylor. If we minimize Griffin like we minimized Taylor, we beat Baylor handily.

Excellent assessment. I'd agree. What NU did with Taylor was actually really impressive. Great plan well executed. Taylor did exploit the defensive breakdown in that last minute --- but generally he was neutralized. And, like you, I am doubtful that anything outside of the QB that Baylor has even closely resembles what VT had. I'd even go so far as to say that Taylor is at least as good, if not better, than is Griffin.

So... i am not worried about Baylor too much. But.... Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas Tech are all worrisome. We could lose all those games as the worse case scenario or perhaps split those games as a best case scenario. I go with the middle road and see us as 1-3 against that foursome and we finish as a 4-loss team.

:yeah I am in total agreement...but I think if we keep the kid's heads right, we can actually win out on the North Division...though in all reality, we could lose one game, and need someone to step up and beat whoever beats us...I would rather see it come down to us not needing anyone's help, because I don't believe in any other Northern division team to be able to step up and play the spoiler role...they just aren't that good.
