Solich vs. Ferentz

Frankie won another one last night.  His career winning percentage is significantly better than Kirk Ferentz's and he's won more games.  Is Frank a better coach than the GOAT Iowa coach?

I wouldn't say Kirk is better than Frank.

I think it's really close, but I would give the edge to Ferentz. He's popped in with a few more great years

I know it was at the beginning of Ferentz's coaching career before he began to achieve his slightly-above-averageness, but Solich's Husker teams beat the living $h!t about of Ferentz when they went head to head.

Ferentz would not be able to have Solich's success at a place like Ohio.

He also would not be able to have Solich's success at a place like Nebraska.

The fact that the Idoiots Out Wandering Around 

have kept Ferentz around long enough to actually win a bunch of games and have those one-off seasons every 5-7 yrs of being pretty good. I mean, good for him that they’ve kept him around. 

We would’ve fired 3-4 times over his tenure if he did here what he did there. 

I do give him great credit for a clean program, hard hitting teams, some bowl appearances/wins. 

But no, he’s not better than Solich.
