Some inside Information...

I saw Huskers Illustrated hit a record for the number of people on their board at one time... anyone know what the record for this one is?
On January 30th of this year we hit a high with 1,833,598 hits. I think that is the highest we've seen. That surprised me a bit - as busy as the board was on signing day, I would have assumed it would have been in February.
Any idea of the record for the number of people on the board at once?
According to Eric the Red in THIS THREAD, it's 525 set yesterday, the 14th.

Wow...how many of the 525 are 'new to Huskerboard but concerned fans?' Probably lots.

Good question. I can say that the registrations have jumped through the roof over the last three weeks.

Can't say I'm surprised...even under the circumstances, it'd be cool if some of them stuck around for when the going gets good.

And damn it...the going WILL get good again. Even if I don't necessarily agree with how people go about wanting success for NU, there is WAY too much love and support for the program to be down for long. And that is a good thing.

:yeah :wasted :nanalama :yeah

As much as I want to see Pedey and Cally gone, letting Callahan go in the middle of the season isn't the answer.

I didn't like how Solich was fired, and I wouldn't like this to happen right now.

Nebraska is about class, and firing them now, while soothing the Husker Nation, isn't classy. Wait until the end of the season for Cally.

Pedey, though...he can go anytime (even though it would be the writing on the wall for Callahan).

I hate to see anyone fired, anytime, for anything. It's unfortunate that it has to happen.

Exactly, we thought it was hard to find a new coach after firing a 9-3 coach. It will make it harder still to hire another coach next year when we fire one in the middle of a season! No coach will want to come here when the organization has an itchy trigger finger and the fans are the ones pushing for it to be done. The coaching prospect would put himself in Cally's shoes and say,"What if I'm not successful in three/four years, will they want my head in the middle of the season and embarass me nationally?" Sure, let him go at the end of the season, but NOT now. Who cares about Pedey, good riddance!
