This morning on the "Today" show, some anchor was interviewing one of the swimmers that got a gold medal and...lo and behold...appearing in the space between the anchor and the swimmer some enterprising person had hung up a bright red NEBRASKA shirt on the fence. It was like the focal point of the entire interview...a real bright attention getter especially compared to the drab surroundings. The interview went on for about five minutes, with Nebraska getting free International publicity the whole time!
I doubt TO or the Sports & Information Director had anything to do with it but somebody ought to find out who it was that put that shirt up there and send him a giant Runza!
On a side note...I think I saw a Missouri shirt too. Some big Bulgarian broad was using it as a towel to wipe the sweat off her butt during the weight lifting competition..... <_<
