Soooo an 11am game...

I am heading from Omaha to this game with some friends. I have not been to an 11am game since I was in college on campus.

What time do you guys leave? We are planning on 7am.

Are most of the bars open by 8 or 9? Any idea?

Most of the bars should be open. I dont know what time you want to be there, but I can tell you that traffic is a b!^@h between Omaha and Lincoln.

I have been lucky, the last 4 times I have gone down (only one time this year) there has not been any traffic going to the game, coming back, well that sucked.

I figure some of the bars start to open by 9am?

I can't believe anybody even gets up before 11:00 on a Saturday.

A lot of the bars will be open at 6 am. Almost all will be open by 7. That's been my experience anyway.

You could try calling the bars that you are thinking about going to and ask them when they open on Saturday,....

Just party hard Friday night and don't go to sleep before the game on Saturday. It's really a win/win once you really think about it.... :wasted chuckleshuffle

I tailgate & will get down there around 7am. I will leave Omaha at 6:30. Why go to the bar's when you can drop a $20 & drink & eat whatever you bring. There's nothing like a dangerdog to start the day off right.

Exactly!

Grab your trusty cooler and slam down two or three six packs before the game. It's a LOT cheaper than hitting the bars and with the money you save you can unwind after the game with a couple of Beam's on the rocks. Not a bad Saturday.
