Sopranos

There will be no movie. Whats the point in a movie? Its HBO. Its better than movies. They could make more money off DVD sales of another season than box office numbers. Plus James Gandolfini has openly said that he is glad to be done with the sopranos.

Anyone who didn't like the ending probably didnt enjoy the nuances of a great show and only watched it from a purely "mob show" point of view.

I thought it was outstanding. In true David Chase fashion he has left us with plenty of message board rambling to sift over. That's why the program was so great. You want "mob hits" throw in Goodfellas, you want a well thought out script to make you think, watch the Sopranos.

It ends as the rest of Tony's life will and has been going. With him constantly looking over his shoulder, constantly wondering if the next guy is going to clip him. With "Dont stop Believing" playing in the background there is hope that one day the Sopranos could actually be a normal family. Sit down at a very normal, average restaurant and order some "onion rings" and "burgers" and be a normal family. SOmething that of course will never happen.

I do like one of the posters take on everything going black. I think I read somewhere that the bullet will travel faster than sound, so in this case Tony would have been shot and never heard the bullet. Never thought of that, again another example of why the show was so damn great. Little things to make you wonder. Everyone can put there own little twist on it. Like on Schrek, "Layers, peel back the onion"

Oh man, if that's the case, boy did that Vox writer take off and run with it.

I find some shows hard to watch again, not because they were not great, but because of the use of cell phones. Now, Sopranos has cell phones, but like Friends, Seinfeld things like that, its just odd without cell phones.

Cell phones have ruined horror movies too!
