This kid wants to rip every 5 star player apart on the field and get some recolgnition. I's good to see Callahan take away the greyshirt and offer him a full ride for the upcoming season. He's a Nebraska kid with heart... :box :horns2

Really excited about this kid. He just has the 'intangibles' that make some with average talent outstanding football players. Seems to have the drive and determination along with the desire to prove people wrong. Hopefully Jeff will keep working hard and become an impact player on this team in the future.

Souder placed on full scholarship by Callahan

Jeff Souder's college housing plans changed for the worse with one quick phone call.
Or, for the better. Depends on how you look at it.
Souder, an incoming Nebraska freshman, was planning to live with some buddies in a house near the Lincoln city campus this fall. He'd have his own room, a little bit of privacy.
Now, he's prepared to move into a dorm.
The only reason Souder is overjoyed by the sudden change is because it means he can play football. Now.
Souder signed with Nebraska's 2005 football recruiting class as a gray shirt, meaning he'd have to sit out the fall semester and enroll in January of 2006. But Nebraska coach Bill Callahan recently told Souder he's now on full scholarship, meaning he can practice and play this fall ... and live in the dorms.
