South Carolina

Wow, looking at that Sagarin rating, I'm more convinced than ever that Okie. St. got shafted. They are 6-1 against the Top 30 and 2-0 against the Top 10. Alabama is 2-1 and 1-1.
... and Okie St lost to a team outside of that Top 30, while Bama's one loss came to arguably one of the best teams in College Football history...

Near as I can recall, ESPN isn't involved directly in the creation of the Big Ten Network. In fact, the BTN and its ilk are direct competitors to ESPN. Not so the SEC Network, which is being created in partnership with ESPN, not in competition against it. The Pac-12, the Big Ten and the ACC aren't in bed with ESPN to the extent the SEC is.
When we stop being the best conference in the nation and winning the national championship every year, maybe ESPN will hop out of the bed. Maybe the Huskers should do something about it or shhhhh...

You mean the SEC that had to insert a specific rule against oversigning, the practice was so rampant? And don't you root for a team currently giving up schollies for major NCAA violations?

If so.... maybe you should shhhhhhh.....

hmmm what's going on here? I feel like I want to get involved in this.

I don't see the relevance. OKST beats ISU they are in the NC. They lost it. Bottomline. Be mad at teams outside the SEC for not winning enough instead of making excuses.

Because we oversign we can't have a contract with ESPN?

Our teams get National Respect because of what they say on ESPN not because they've won 8 MNC's and now 6 in a row?

I'm so confused.

Alabama beats LSU and they're in the ... oh, wait. Oops.

I mean, at least Alabama lost at LSU, right? Oh... oops.

And I mean, it's not like Oklahoma State played a tougher schedule than Alabama... oh. Oops.

Err... well, at least Alabama can say they had just experienced a tragedy to their athletic department a day before their loss, right? For the second time in ten years, right?

And at least Alabama can say they didn't benefit from the voting shenanigans of several people, right? Oh.... oops.

Yeah. Rock-solid argument for a rematch there.

I'm not going to lie to you and say the SEC isn't the preeminent football conference of the last decade. But don't lie to me and tell me there aren't asterisks aplenty to go along with those titles. We both know that's not true, and that the hands of the SEC are not clean.

None of this is news to me. The tragedy excuse is crap. Bama lost to the best team in the nation in OT. OKST lost to ISU. Bottomline.

I think Nebraska's o-line is going to have a hard time keeping South Carolina's d-line out of the backfield. I have seen a few of SC's games and one thing I noticed is how athletic their d-line is. I don't think this bodes well for a mediocre o-line.

I also don't see our D being able to stop the offense. If I remember correctly, their stud running back is still out (Lattimore), but our defense has always had trouble with a mobile QB.

This is pretty much how I see it. I see yet another team having their "best game of the year" against us. Funny how that keeps happening.

Yep, it's turning into a trend. Kind of strange, but I'm sure it has nothing to do with the coaches. Probably just a coincidence.
