I feel like this has been lost in the shuffle with all the defense versus offense talk, but does anyone remember when special teams were a strong point for the Huskers?
The current team can't even field a punt properly, and if they do, the returns are averaging very little. Turner botched several punt returns, Bell brought one kickoff out of the end zone to the... 15. The coverage is generally awful, and we were a Sam Folz tackle away from allowing another punt return touchdown. And when was the last time we blocked a punt? Do they even practice special teams at this point?
