I've been a big fan of the Bond films since it was reincarnated with Daniel Craig. I hadn't heard much about this film until the last week or so, but now I'm quite excited to see it.

What do you guys think?

Looks good. I used to be a huge Bond fan. But I haven't seen the last couple in the theater. I generally wait for cable or streaming. Might have to make a trip to the theater for this one.

I feel like Christoph Waltz is going to make a great Bond villain!

I'll probably try to see next week.

I've loved just about every single bond movie. Both my son and I are big fans. We are very excited for this movie to be released so we can go see it. Definitely want to see it in the theater.

I will say that I haven't decided if I'm a big fan of the new take on Bond. In the last couple, they make him more...normal...I guess. For instance, at the end of the last one, they made it seem like he wanted to get out of that line of work and it was tormenting him.

Part of what has made Bond so dang cool is that he always saves the day, gets the girl, kills the villain and seems to love his life. The ultimate cool dude.

I like Daniel Craig's take on James Bond. He is ruthless but is somewhat torn about things. Roger Moore's rendition is what you are thinking of with bond. Which is ok, but to me it got a little silly by the end of things, and Moore was way too old to play Bond in the end. In my mind James Bond is about 37-38 years old. Old enough to have been around the block but still young enough to be physical about things. The first couple that Brosnan did were good, then they got a little silly. Sean Connery is what most think of with Bond and I like his take. Timothy Dalton only lasted for 2, he wasn't a bad Bond IMO the movies just weren't that good, not enough Gadgets and Girls.

On her Majesty's Secret Service is actually in my top three of favorites.

I saw it opening night on an IMAX. It was meh...

The opening sequence was amazing and Craig nailed it! So smooth and so cool throughout. The overall story was pretty lacking though, and for as excellent as Casino Royale and Skyfall were this one is on par with Quantum of Solace imo (everytime they go to a desert the story sucks...). The custom Aston for the movie really rubbed me the wrong way, it just didn't make sense. Waltz was ok, but he just didn't have a good script to work with. Maybe I hyped it up too much but I'd give it a -B or a +C. Full disclosure I'm pretty harsh judging movies.

Big fan of the Daniel Craig 007's and of the James Bond 007 catalog as a whole. It will be an instant purchase when it comes out on blu ray.

I really enjoyed it overall, but the pacing was definitely a bit off. At the end I was left feeling surprised as the amount of story that had unfolded seemed like the same amount that would have been over with halfway through another one. Still a good flick, and Craig's Bond is a treat as always.

I was never a big Bond gu, but if Christoph Waltz is playing the villain count me in.
