He's one of the top interior lineman in the country.Did or does Spencer have NFL talent or aspirations?
If so, I hope this doesn't wreck his chance.

I believe that "not as bad as thought" comment is because the ACL wasn't involved. No knee injury is a good one, but the ACL is the biggest concern. He should have plenty of time to rehab before the combine. It doesn't help his draft stock, but I don't believe it "wrecks" his career either.Did or does Spencer have NFL talent or aspirations?

I'm not sure he would have been that high before the injury. Guards don't go as high in the draft like tackles do.We was projected as a 2nd round pick on the last big board I had saw.Did or does Spencer have NFL talent or aspirations?

Our S&C program must be terrible! Two Longs in the same week!Via CBS College Sports: Sean Long is out for the season too. Let the meltdown begin...
Guards go plenty high if they're good enough. 3 were taken in the 1st round last year - 2 in the top 10.I'm not sure he would have been that high before the injury. It will hurt him some, injuries always do. But probably will still be drafted.
Like I said...that was a draft big board that had been updated Oct. 5. So to that point that is what they thought. I believe they had his as the *4th* guard. (*EDIT: They had him as the 5th guard)I'm not sure he would have been that high before the injury. Maybe it's changing a little bit because there were a couple in the first round in 2012. But for 6-7 years before that there were usually 4-6 tackles in the first round and maybe one guard.Guards go plenty high if they're good enough. 3 were taken in the 1st round last year - 2 in the top 10.I'm not sure he would have been that high before the injury.
