I'll bet this will happen someday. Maybe within a couple years. Maybe a decade. But it won't be a detonation. It will be a dirty bomb. Could even be several at once. I'd guess lower Manhattan will be one target.

Dirty bombs sound scarier than they really are. The explosion won't do that much damage, and unless it's a large device it won't be able to spread that much radiation. What is more scary is a "suitcase nuke"...
