Spring Practice Pressers

No way you slice it somebody has to get the first 1st team snaps.  Whipple said he looked the best from the stuff he saw before spring.  it's not surprising.  If you didn't expect the the oldest guy in the room with the most starts to get the very first snaps with the 1's you are delusional.  But like he said it could change orrrr  they could just let someone else get 1st team reps to see how they look with the 1's.  doesn't mean that person is going to be the starter either.
maybe having a real QB coach will help.

Take anything you hear from coaches this spring with a big grain of salt as the transfer portal has changed how coaches talk to the media.

According the Sam on this week's OWH podcast (said in the first few minutes) a coach told him at the presser this week that he can't single out anyone for doing a good job because other kids will see that, take it as a slight, and could end up in the transfer portal.

That lead Sam to basically say all the hype on Sevion Morrison last year in fall camp was all just words to keep him from transferring before the season.

They also specifically put him in for swing passes to get him into space and he dropped most of them. I really thought he was going to be great, but it just wasn't working from the beginning.

Sorry, but people just need to get over this.  It's not going to change.

It's simply not very practical to try to get a mic to any one of the dozens of people who might be asking questions.  It's just not worth the effort and time it would take.
Maybe the reporter could step up to a podium like at a city council meeting? That's all I have to say on this.

isn't there a media department?  Give a couple students some credits and let them set up in the area and get some mics.  might be some future boom mic operators on campus.  they could stand there and hold a boom mic.  good for the ole resume

It really is not a overly complicated situation, you train a dog to hold a microphone in its mouth and walk around to every reporter who has a question and they speak into the dogs mouth.
