Spring Practice - Safeties

Per Sipple, Avery Anderson was with the fourth string today.

DWilliams says Avery Anderson definitely in the mix. Said not to take too much from the pre-spring depth chart.

Aaron Williams and Antonio Reed continue to take the snaps with the top group at safeties. JoJo Domann and Kieron Williams come in next. Another guy who you can't help but notice is redshirt freshman Tony Butler.

As I've noted other places, there sure seems to be something "off" with him. Never seems to be getting the love that his play would deserve. Not sure what the deal is.

He is not as good as the other safeties. He seems like a solid kid but seems limited athletically. Stats can be misleading sometimes

So the coaches don't play him bc they don't like him? Or he has off field issues? Our starting safety was suspended twice last season and he was a CAPTAIN. K.W has had 3 position coaches and the results seem about the same. I don't buy the doghouse. I think he is at a position with some younger guys who might have a little more ability than he does.

Yeah, the results have been about the same. He's been one of our best play-makers the whole time he's been here.

I don't know that I'd say he's in the doghouse. Those other would have said that with other coaches. But there's just something really odd about how his level of play doesn't match up with how he seems to get treated.

Elliott said Reed, Aaron Williams and Kieron Williams are all playing at a high level. Said Aaron Williams is one of the smartest players he's ever coached.
