Spring Practice Updates

God, that video shows a screen pass to Cross...lets just get that play out of the playbook unless they are planning on never throwing a screen to Cross.

Riley implied that they might start to get a sense of the RB depth chart on Friday when the put in some of their third down package. The implication is the ones that catch the ball well and are solid in pass protection will have the upper hand.
seems right to me........2 things you have to be good at, besides running the ball.

I'm rooting for Cross, but it sounds more and more like I may not get my way. The guy has worked hard. Either way, I'm sure he'll get his carries.

i am betting Newby can't block like he needs too, just a hunch.....just sayin we will see multiple backs in the backfield and lots of substitutions.....

As long as this board can stop with the red herring that our players aren't well conditioned when they tap their helmet after a few plays.

will be watching to see if that trend continues, although this year i think there will naturally be a lot of substitutions.

Did anyone see in the pics from yesterdays practices of how slim Valentine and Collins look? Especially Valentine. He looks like he's trimmed up quite a bit. I heard that Collins has gotten bigger, stronger and faster. Hope the same for Valentine.

Thanks for all the information guys, and the coaching information side. Been to busy to follow the board much, so it was a pleasure to read this thread. All pretty positive. We need to be the Big Red again, as a team and the fan base.

No. 90 is a dude! McMullen is reporting at 285 lbs, but he doesn't look to have much of a gut.
