Stadium Expansion

Also, I though the very middle windows would be arched like this -

Did they change that or have they just not reached that point?
They must have changed it because the height is maxed out, and they've been putting in those middle panes for about the past 2 weeks.
The rendering almost makes it look as though the windows go full height but they have metal detail giving it that arched look. I don't know the name of it but think like this:

except with the lattices (for lack of a better term) on the outside of the pane instead of being on the inside like they are in the image. If that is the case, it would seem pointless but no doubt we have all seen what we might believe to be pointless details added to architecture for looks.

Here's a pic from inside the Arena:

EDIT - according to Smiles' twitter, he's shooting a commercial in there. Here's another pic, courtesy of Coach Smiles.

Was walking around the arena with a friend a few months back and we snuck in one of the open doors on the west side. We got far enough to see into the bowl from one of the corner entrances and then high tailed it out. That place is massive.

Next, a new construction crane graces the skyline of Lincoln, this time just south of the O street overpass at about 7th & N streets. Not sure what this is going to be:

This going to be another parking garage. I believe there are a total of five new parking garage. One attached to the arena, this one, and then three in between.

I was just going through a Facebook album and came across a few pictures from the 2011 football season. Something didn't look quite right in one of the pictures...

We was in town for a state tournament game last thursday and took a drive down highway six past Haymarket Park and then down 10th street into downtown to check out the stadium and the arena. I have to agree with you, for some reason, it just seemed as if that addition has always been there. Obviously it's meant to be.

If I'm not mistaken, the photographer is facing SE while taking this pic.

EDIT:

Another couple of pics, and I forgot to cite my source.

So right now the whole arena is clad in red and silver. I think they should keep it that way, looks pretty striking.

Actually facing NE I believe. The part of the arena without the upper decks is on the north side. That is a really cool pic from the concourse out to the stadium.

The LJS has some similar photos here.
