Stadium Expansion

• For fans seated in the East Stadium and entering that area of the stadium, fans should be aware of changes due to construction, not all gates on East Stadium will be open and fans should follow posted signs through construction zones to available gates. Gates 22 and 23 will not be open on Saturday.

That is amazing. Target Field in Minneapolis is going on its 3rd year in completed form (about 5 since the start of construction) and TCF Bank Stadium is going on its 4th football season (almost 6 years since construction started) and Google still shows them as parking lots. That is...unless you go down to bird's eye view or street view, then they show up.

Couple of pictures of the south eastern side, which has radically progressed since I saw it three weeks ago.

Thought the small cross bars on the center arch were interesting here.

The North side has really progressed. They're already starting to build the second tier. (Sorry the second photo is so grainy).

Thought this was interesting, this is how close together the North and East sides will be together at gate 16. I was wondering if the expansion would change my gate, but it actually doesn't.

Here's my attempt to turn a total loss into a slight win. Some pics of the arena and east stadium from a different angle than normal.

The Champions Club folks chose to stay home rather than risk the weather. Turns out, they were the smart ones.

Love this photo! How much higher do you think they will go? Based on the early mockup it doesn't look like it will get too much higher, but if you look at the structure from the front, it looks like they are going to go much higher. Do you think the mock is a little off?

Strang project across from new hotel. THere's a huge ditch there right now.

New parking lot/apartment complex across the bookstore. Looks almost done now.

Not enough to offset the huge progress they made with a mild winter.
