Stanley Jean-Baptiste

Does anyone else have high expectations for Stanley Jean-Baptiste? I love his size and speed, and I think he would make a great compliment to Mo Seisay. SJB looked great against Ohio State. Does he have a chance of starting this year? If not, why was he moved?

 
I would hope he has a chance to compete for the starting job. He was about as raw as one could be at the position and stepped up big time against Ohio State. Surely he has the chance to improve at the position.

Playbook - and because of it he was lost on the depth chart at WR.

 
with our chess board mentality, he could end up playing anywhere.....like Heard, we are one defection or one injury away from shuffling the deck some more, which might include Stanley.

 
outside of Cody Glenn - I can't think of another player in the last 4 years that had much success after a position switch. Not that there is a massive list of them - just no one jumps out. Can anyone think of one?

 
seems like i have seen on here before where people said prince switched from rb to cb, donnt know if thats true or not but if it is then he did extremely well

 
I think he'll do well in the defensive back position. He showed some great ability last year when he was called upon and definately has the size to dominate in that position. Not too many defensive backs are that big from what I remember.............

 
I would like to see him as our Dime and Nickel backer. Has the size to help in run support and the speed to cover Recvrs and TEs.

 
I think SJB is going to have a bigger role this year than people think. We're going to face a number of really tall TE's this year from coaches who like running them out of the slot and H'Back positions. (IE Meyer and O'Brien)

We're going to need someone in the nickel to be able to match up with those guys, SJB is the likely candidate for that job.

 
No, everyone got way too excited and blew some terrible throws out of proportion. I do hope he does well, but he really hasn't done anything yet.

 
i think braylon heard will do well at db, the kid excelled at cb in high school and most schools offered him at that position, if i remember correctly us offering him at rb was a big factor in him committing to NU

ahhhhhhhhhhh, i think they brought him back as RB after Green split.

They are bringing him back to RB unless something has changed in the last week.
