Starting College early

It seems to me that most of the freshmen that have entered UNL early (2nd semester of their senior year) have not stayed. I don't have the numbers but I believe Dukes, Green and Moore fall into this category. I think it works great for JUCO's to enroll early but I'm not seeing it for the High Schoolers. I would like them to discourage early enrollment for the High Schoolers. Thoughts?

That's a very interesting observation. Does anyone (***cough**** Nexus) have a running list of our recent early enrollees, both HS and JUCO?

Jamal Turner and Kevin Williams were early last year guys I believe.

I don't think there is any correlation between enrolling early and leaving versus staying simply because there are too many factors and every situation is different.

I agree with this. If there is any correlation to be made it could be simply that the early enrollers tend to be higher profile recruits who carry a bunch of unrealistic expectations with them coming in. It could be that they don't live up to those expectations, it could be that they feel they should be seeing more time quicker, who knows.
