Stat Of The Game

This is what decided the game.....

21 rushes for 84 yards (4 yards a carry, good average)

50 passes for 282 yards, 23 completions, 3 int's

Time of possesion - OU 31:39 NU 28:21

The defense was getting exploited from the first snap of the game on the corners (ie Grixby sucks). Why not pound the rock and keep their offense off the field. Id be curious to see how many times we threw on first down and then how many of those were incomplete and forced us into long yardage situations.

We could have and should have won the game.

Oh well......see you in Dallas.

There was one stretch where ZT was 4 for 18. Arguably his worst game of the year.

Surprisingly coming into the game Nebraska led the nation in third down conversion (according to the OMH today).

I couldn't believe how bad Zac played............he better unf*&k himself for the Cotton bowl because whoever we draw in that game will be just as good as OU if not better.......

He had a bad game, tryied to do a little too much :hmmph
And don't get me wrong I love the guy and thank him for everything that he has done for our program and I wish him the best in the future..........I just don't understand what was going through his head yesterday!!!!

It seemed like we were going to really run all over them on our second possession.

It hurt having BJax out in the second half, but I would like to think we would have had much more success if we had thrown in at least a few toss plays to Lucky, instead of throwing 5 or 6 consecutive times and then punting.

Three pics, a fumble by Taylor right before half, and Purify's fumble to start the game. However I believe, OU only converted those turnovers into seven points, the same that Nebraska had off of OU's lone turnover. What killed us was that we turned it over on drives that could of resulted in scores for us.

I'd have to say the stat of the game would be....................

FOUR TURNOVERS!!!! or was it five?? I cant really remember.......

that's just what I was going to say....you want a stat 5 turnovers. Cosgrove or Callahan didn't turn it over 5 times. Game planning was very good. There was a time or two maybe a little more running, but hell, were putting the ball in our BIG 12 OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR.....he needs to get it done. OU was perfect in expoliting our weaknesses....something ever team has...weaknesses, but can the players get the job done?/

Once again, play calling was fine. Plays were there to be made and they didn't get made. Receivers weren't getting open, OU seemed to play good pass defense or Taylor was waiting way to long to get rid of the ball.

It never fails. "Well the pass didn't work so we should have run more. Well the run didn't work, so we should have passed more. We should have run a triple reverse option pass with Erickson. We should have put in Purfiy as a quarterback." Blah blah blah blah blah.

and when they were open, Taylor didn't get it done

You're oversimplifying our criticism. NU's offense is predicated on balance.

I thought that our offense was predicated on what the defense gave us. And OU's defense didn't give us very much.
