Status of Cross?

Do you think Cross's performance last night and recent games will allow some NFL teams to take a closer look at him and perhaps give him a shot?

Might depend on his pro day. He could be a a good free agent pick up after the draft.Glad he had a decent showing at the end of his career...he stayed with it and proved his loyalty to the Huskers!

Cross's future in the NFL will depend if he can play on special teams. Backup RB's and the last guys on the roster have to be able to contribute on special teams. I don't know if he has done much special teams coverage at NU, but he will need to do that in the NFL to make a squad.

he seems like the kind of guy Belichick might try to develop.

On a side note have we seen the last of Newby? He looked good as a decoy motioning out of the back field. Lol

I don't think so. He can still play a role in this offense. 3rd down/change of pace back. He did seem to want to hit the holes faster last night. His TD run was nice, and he could get better next year. Never hurts to have extra running backs.

If Rex is struggling to stay on a roster it'll be hard to believe Cross will.....I hope the best for him
