Steve Pederson to become Pitt AD Again...

They like him out there at Pitt. He actually did a good job there when he was there the first time. He was the National AD of the year the year before he came to Nebraska and is credited for getting the Pitt Basketball program back and also for negotiating the deal with the Steelers to share their football facilities. He'll be fine there, it's where he belongs, not here...

Knew they liked him and since you mention it, I do remember the BB program was improved under him. Just thought his image might be a bit tarnished now. Maybe setting up an identity at a school that does not have the tradition Nebraska has will be a better fit.

so he did a good job before,

he's unsuccessful when he leaves,

he comes back,

as a pitt fan, are you happy, hesitant, or scared for the future?

Amazing!

He was at Pitt and then his dream job came calling. He got a huge ego and blew it, now he returns to Pitt.

He did some good while at NU - mainly facilities, but lets not get into what he did to our football program.

i wouldn't say his only failure was football, he was tearing down the athletic department rather quickly

most of the other sports were there before he got here, so can we really give him credit for something byrne set up for him?

Their football team is going to suuuuuck!
It already does

Don't they still have Wannstedt as the football coach?

Didn't Pederson want to hire him before he went through his hiring mess?

Does that mean we do not have to pay all of Pederson's buyout?
he's already been paid i believe, its not an ongoing contract like the assistant coaches

his buyout was due within 30? days of his firing

going off memory, so that's just what i remember

Good point. I forgot about that 30 day thing...
